Hi All,

Wondering if the Jimny diffs are the same as previous SJ models - and if so; what are/were the std size tyres sold with the prev. SJ's (guessing / hoping they were bigger than 205's)?

Dealerships here are getting 'iffy' about possible damage caused by larger tyres...(some guys' diff popped while using 215's & Suzuki not keen on paying for it under warranty).

All other SJ's are 205's, would be nice if they were bigger
Diff popped with 215's? Must of been giving it a s@$t load. Although
Jimny diffs aren't as strong as WT diffs, they should be able to handle up
30's. Over 30's you'll have to start looking for stronger CV's and axles.

I think some of the early models that had 16" rims had a larger rolling dia that the 205/75R15. TZAR will most likely know for sure.

I took Suzuki to court a few years back when my Jimny rear diff went bang for the second time under warranty, it ended up costing Suzuki about four times as much, insted of just fixing it..
Tell your mate to get a metalergy report done on the diff bits and dig up some specialist's then go to court and kick there arse again..
