mine idles at 1200 when warm think its a bit high would like around 1000 |

Timing is set at 11deg BTDC. Idle is round a grand, but i am re-tuning at the moment so i will see how it all turns out. Layto.... |

i use your thread as i have idle speed related question too. i got my carby fixed by carby specialist and they set up idle speed VERY LOW and said that it's ok like that. it's around 500RPM, just below the first mark on tacho. i don't mind that, but steak_knife had a good point saying that with so lo idle there might be not enough oil pressure and cam and crankshaft might not be oiled properly. what do you think guys? cheers kris |

Suzuki set the idle at 850rpm (+/-50) for a reason. I would leave it there. Layto.... |

Layto.... what about choke idle speed, when cold it idles not faster than when warm, same 500RPM or less. is it somewhere underneath choke? i have vit carby |
