Went out for a wheel other the weekend, went good for a few hours and then just started stalling, i couldnt get the revs up much either. So I turned the idle up and limped it home Its blowing alot of unburnt fuel out the exhuast and the plugs are black. With he idle turned upto around 2k it doesnt stall, revs cut out at around 3k. If you stab the throttle it back fires and shots foot long flames out the back. Any ideas what could be causing it to over fuel?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To85WHFclBg |

It should flash 12, that 1 pulse, short gap 2 pulse's.. That's system pass.. |

Hows it hooked up? +12V to light then light to ECU? Overfuelling? Almost sounds like a misfire |

Yer gonna double check it tomorrow, certain thats how its hooked up tho. The ecu is damaged, the fuel pump cant be run off it. Is possible some other circuits dont work. Definatly overfueling, enough fuel comeing out the exhuast to keep the locles going all night. You can hear it backfire at the start and end of that video... |

Ok, had more of a play with it. The ecu wont show any codes. I tried fuel reg but thats fine. Tried starting it before and I now have no spark. No power showing at the lead running into the coil. Would a weak spark cause the above symptoms? |

could be the throttle positioning sensor, if its a g13b mine was doing the same as your, unplugged it and its fine. chasing a new 1 at the moment |

Running pig rich & rev limited to 3k rpms are indications that you have a failed ECU in limp home mode |

Maybe MAF sensor? .02c |

Im thinking what fordem said.. This ecu already has issues(wont run the fuel pump). I tried to work out why it has no spark today, and it looks like the coil isnt even getting a pulse from the ecu.. So i think i need to find a new ecu, or atleast borrow one from someone and see if that works. MAF is working as far as I can tell.. /just checked the diagram, and the coil runs thru the igniter. So maybe thats broken.. Anyone know how to test them? |

I was hoping that the movie was the flames out the exhaust |

http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Yo ... profile=78 Dan has an ecu, but I think it may be in bit's by now.. |

Hmm, I have to test this bloody igniter somehow before i try an ecu.. If the igniter works, then i can be certain the ecu has issues. |

Dan has an ecu, but I think it may be in bit's by now.. Hasn't been violated yet!!! OP what ECU is yours? Are you running the hot wire MAF or earlier cone style mechanical one? Dan |

^^^ Yer cone style, some one had a few cones when they designed it I think.. JrZook, whats the chances of borrowing that ecu for a day.. alcoholic incentives |
