Just recently my vitara started making a grinding noise it seems to make the noise when you hit 80klmh or above and it only does it when at a cruise and the noise isnt there or noticeable when accelerating or backing off.
i put it on jack stands and ran it in drive and its definitely more noticable. Im not sure if this can be diagnosed but i put the transfer in nuetral and the trans in drive and there was no noise

does anyone know what may be wrong?

It has also started making a whining noise and its definietly coming from the engine and sounded like it was coming from the air intake.
It sounds like an empty power steer pump but louder

does anyone have any ideas on this?
