well my vit has slightly lifted springs, and spacers to level it out, with a camber correction on the front, and a body lift sorry cant say how much it was cos the suspension was done when i got the vit, and the bodylift was in a box in the back cos the previous owners cooked it before fitting :D but that would be the cheaper end of the scale cos it still has standard length front struts in (have to do a top flip sometime) and OMEs in the rear but i think just standard length (obviously you need longer shock/ struts to make the most of your lifted springs, rears easy and cheap fronts not so, and only a few companies make longer struts), but if you want a big suspension lift you really need to go for the calmini kit but of course its more expensive, but im sure other guys here can tell you alot more then me

Commodor Shock Question

Check this one, for the rear stick in 180sx Rear Standard Springs and VC-VN Commodore Rear standard shocks, that'll give you approximatly 2 inch lift in the rear for aroun $150. I've just recently put in just the commodore shocks in the rear and it gives me about 3inches extra drop, so far they are great, only cost $35 a corner.

be carefull about flipping the the top on the front I read somewhere it can put out your camber bad, I may be wrong :P

thats the first time i have seen these kits i like that you can buy certain parts of the kit unlike the calmini all or nothing if i didn't live in nana land qld where you can't lift your car much at all i would jump at one of these.

i have lifted kings springs in mine lwb with vt commo shocks in the rear gives about 35mm of lift front is a bit stiff and doesn't move much at all and the rear the springs unseat by about 40mm when flexed up didn't have to adjust anything else bumper stops are long enough for the shocks. ii do scrub the rear when flexed up but running 235 75's on standard rims.in my mind i think you need to go higher as the under body clearance isn't quite enough at 35mm even with 235 75 muddies.
its not to bad but a bit disappointed cause i can still get my subaru to the same spots as the vit, and i dont have to worry about anything braking on the subaru.

Mate all I know is that because I have ABS fitted that my choices where limited. I am aware of the calmini products but chose the dobinson springs and bilstein struts.
Given I owned the car from new that when I did the change @50500kms the improvement in the handling of the vehicle led me to believe that I should have changed them as soon as it left the car yard. Now before I get people saying this and that I was not a 'car' man prior to buying my car. Whilst I knew suspension was important, the change in handling meant the difference from 'skipping' the corner to 'hugging' the corner. I wrongly assumed that the vehicle, given it was new, that it would handle well. I was wrong in a big way. For those who know the road "the Buckett's Way" to Gloucester is the road I'm referring to (in which I draw comparison to).

The other factor in the choice of Bilsteins (other then my mate is their supplier) is they can 'revalued'. From my understanding once the strut is 'worn' they can effectively be refurbished to as new. The cost is substantially cheaper then replacement (was $120per strut when installed about 18mths ago). But the suspension has just clocked over 50000kms (105000kms on the car in total) and their just as good as the where new. Happy to be corrected but also believe that the Bilsteins are a 'long travel' strut.

As you can prop tell cannot rate this setup enough the only negative is the $$$$. Of hand can't remember how much but I think about $1500 (installation included as to much hassled to do at home). Oh and off road performance is also awesome to say the least.
