best way is to cut the engine mounts and crossmember out of a 1.3 chassie and weld them in |

the adapter kits are only for the 1.3L to 1.6, You also might have to widen the gearbox tunnel. |

never really looked into it since ive never dealt with 1L, but from what i have read, you do need to do a little widening... |

bonnet might hit without a body lift ??? maybe there is heaps of little things like radiator brackets, wiring possibly gearbox yoke its not a one day swap if you dont have much of an idea, that being said having access to a whole 1.3 car for spares makes alot of difference. join up outerlimits4x4 and try this thread http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic.php?t=37821 |

will all of it engine gearbox just bolt in the same or will it need to be modified please help me cheers We need more information. There are 3 versions of 1.0lt Sierra (or 5 if you count Marutis too), and some it is a bit tricky to fit a 1.3 and 5 speed, and 1 version is a bolt in with no welding or fabrication. What model 1.0 Sierra do you have? |

Is the dash panel (ie the full width of the cab) metal or plastic? If it's plastic, it is known as a Type 3 and you will have 2 sets of bolt holes in the engine mount bosses on the chassis, and the transmission tunnel will be wide enough to fit the 5 speed box. 1984, 85 and 86 were the crossover years and the chassis is designed to accept either the 1.0 or 1.3 engines. If you have the 2 sets of holes like in the pic below (ignore the fact it's a NT Coily chassis! it's the only pic I could find of the mounts), your chassis is already set up for a 1.3 engine and 5 speed and they will drop straight into your Sierra. Normally, you would also need to fit a 1.3 bonnet for clearance, but if you have a body lift, that won't be necessary. |

If you don't know, can you post pics and we will see what you have? This is the part of the chassis in question, and a pic of your dash. |
