I'm just prepairing the front clip and it has been previously re painted and starting to flake off so I will have to take it to bare metal, do I need to use a etch primer ? I'm spraying 2k

Cheers

yes you should use an etch primer ideally.
you can use a single pack etch and two pack over it without a worry.
with etch primer you only need one single lightish coat for most brands.

i find acrylic primer to work a treat even when spraying a 2 pac paint.
seems to be more forgiving

I used a special blade to get my paint of to bare metal. If ur paint is old and cracking it should come off quite easy with this blade. Works best on a long flat panal where u can push it to one end to the other. I tried paint striper but i found this blade alot quicker and easier. Not sure if its the easiest way but it worked for me. Hope this helps
