G'day chaps, Quick question Does anyone know what or how the idle is controlled on a g13bb, Mine idles high, and I'd like to bring it down. Sometimes it idles fine, other times its 1500 odd. No I don't have a vaccuum leak either. Next question, does anyone know the tacho output on the ecu? I don't have one at the moment, And i'd like to wire it up to the sierra dash if possible. That is all Thanks |

I'm glad you are getting around to fixing these problems! When I had it, it never idled that high. Have you got a Jimny service manual? I think Spamwell hooked up his sierra with a jimny tacho input, dont know how though. |

I use a baleno one, with the baleno twin coil motor... The g13bbs are twin coil also. So they should be similar. Tried hunting down a jim cluster? |

Hmmm, may possibly have to do some investigation myself then! Currently it has four bent rods. Hydraulic'd it in a river on saturday, Machine shop has bits coming for it, should have new rods, rings & bearings friday arvo. Then I'll be back onto the idle issue and tacho. Has anyone got a jimny ecu pin out for g13bb? and / or service manual? Cheers guys, Simon. |

g16b does this when the MAF is a bit dirty, are they a similar setup? |

Nope, map unfortunately. One thing I did notice is the idle is alot lower when the alternator is connected, but I've checked my charge rate and sense wire to the alt, and is working fine! |

Re-set your base idle, it should have a air bypass screw in the throttle body, just unplug the IAC & adjust the screw till you get the idle you want, then plug it back in.. I run mine disconnected all the time, just run's off base idle, even with P/s.. |
