the other day i went to the tyre shop and got a set of 15X7 with 30X9.5 a/t's that the guy reconmended on them but no way where they gonna fit. so i went for some 215/70R15 but i think there gonna be to small. i have 30mm coil spacers comming should be here on monday. what do you guys reconmend. i dont particualy want to do any chopping at the moment. i was thinking 235/70R15 please help guys??? |

the tyres are going on 15X7 so i have found some bridge stone duelers in 225/75/R15 i think they might be the go. i am gonna be running A/T co s i drive the thing most days so |

I'd go with 215/75x15 BFG A/T.They will probably outwear any thing else on the market.They also have a 3ply Sidewall.They just work.A 235/75x15 might look good,but are you after looks or something that works?235's will put your gearing & therefore you speedo out of wack.Also make your steering heavier & put more strain on all your steering components.With any modification ask yourself the question-is this going to improve what i already have.If the answer is no,then why do it.Unless you just want to make it look COOL.The 75 profile will give a better ride than 70 & add a little bit more height.Lifting your jimny 30mm with spacers should give plenty of clearance for 215's.With your speedo reading 100kph you would actually be doing 105/106kph. |

my 215's put my speedo out by about 8kmph, so i gotta do 92kmph to stay under the 100km limit. i have muddies, hankook dynapro rt03's they are a very good tyre, relatively quiet and greatoffroad. plus they look cool. but if its mostly on road then get some all terrains, BFG are good from what i hear, but if it was me i would be getting something different as every man and his dog owns a pair of BFGs. |

BFG's are also one of the most expensive offroad tyres 
And they dont like wet roads... tend to loose traction and slip and slide...

The new Maxxis 764 do look like a very good MT... i can highly recommend Maxxis AT's, very reasonable price for a good tyre...

roads were wet the other morning on the way to work, and being the first rain we've had in a while i expected the road to be very slippery - but i have to say the KM2s gripped very well... where i'd normally spin a wheel i just took off. |

my old STTs (new style pattern) were a great AT tyre... if someone asked me to recommend a touring agressive tyre i'd definitely say coopers... |

KL71 look awesome... as for who to go to, try sending a PM to ryano on the outerlimits forums - or do a search there for his contact info - he's not at fourbys anymore its some other one (slacks creek??) - he'll look after you... otherwise fourbys still. when i did a ring around the east coast seemed to be running low on most brands, but that was in 31s, smaller sizing should be more available. |

I have the Coopers Discovery atr on now for 5k, Wet traction is terrific, the ride is amazingly great, these are on my daily with weekends of mud rivers and sand, handles gravel roads with ease. My tyres are stock size 205/70.15 on a 2000 Jimny Gbb13 Auto Needless to say, not any great amount of power is put down, But The Coopers certainly leave the old H/T bridge's for dead!! Wet handling and ride are the BIG plus......... Regards to all Bill |
