I am guessing by the date of the original post its not a commonly done thing.

Post up some pics of your dramas. Someone may be able to offer a solution

Excuse the format, on my phone.

I did them in mine
The seats with built in headrests are what you want, which are found in the gtx and older hatchbacks. The more common seats with adjustable headrests arent as good.

I made some brackets to offset the rail, so the seat height adjust works, and moved them back as far as I could.
It created a lot of room in the sierra.
Initially the seat was miles too high and didnt move very far back.

here's the brackets (note: I tarded it and welded the screw/bolt on the wrong side).
Image

The two small plates pack the trans tunnel side, and allowed the seat to be further back.
the offset plate, picks up baleno mount bolt holes and sierra seat rail. (Rail is offset, but still supported well, so moment is not a concern).
They are 5mm plate, and supported well.
Way overkill and heavier than needed.

Ill get more pics of drivers seat tomorrow.

Passenger side was really easy.
Driver side took some fiddling.
Ill take some pics and measurements and do a write up.

This one somewhat gives you an idea of the plate orientation
Image

Bolt hole drilled or moved (someone else had mounted the rails to autotechnica seats, so wonked out holes were already there.
Image

Height adjuster spring support was trimmed so it would clear
Image

Slider stops flattened, so seats can slide further forwards. They are stopped by the bolts. This allowed the seats to slide really far forwards for easy access to stuff in the back, whilst allowing seat positions to be as far back as possible.
Image

Whilst the rail is offset, it is no more offset than factory baleno, and is slightly under the rail. The plate also has better rigidity than the baleno mount it bolts to. Height adjust is fully extended
Image

Fully compressed
Image

Height adjust fully wound out

Tunnel side front is basically a washer etc, I made it so its the same contact area as original to prevent bracket bending.
It could use another bolt, but I think I put a bit of sikaflex on it.
Image

Tunnel side rear
I put one bolt through the baleno seat rail, and drilled an extra hole through the lot, and spaced it with a washer.

Ill post measurements when I get a chance.
But the slotted wonky holes, means the measurements may not be overly helpful.
I may still run a drill and put a bolt through the rear of the tunnel side, as I dont really like the bolts in the hugely slotted holes.

Cheers for that!... Now this need to be out into good tech or I made it. So people can now see how it's done...

Sorry to attempt to dredge up an old thread but do you happen to still have those measurements for the plate lying around? I am currently attempting to get a similar pair of seats into my sierra and the information would be a huge help! Thanks!
