I smashed my flares while sliding into a steep muddy hill, and thinking about not bothering fixing them and just upgrading to bushwacker flares, does anyone know where you cant buy cheap ones and had any troubles fitting them? also which size would be the way to go, 4.5 inch or 6 inch?

I got mine low range off road from the states, cost like $350US I think..
I got 6" but my tyres are 12.5 wide with -23 offset..
There easy to install a few holes drilled with self tapping screws

okay than i have 30 inch big horn tires not really wide but im thinking about getting a bigger and wider tire so do you recon 6 inch is the way to go? i have been on lowrange and i think its the best, did you get the cut or the non cuts?

The genuine bushwackers are very easy to break...

One knock and they are dead. One of my flares is already broken and its never even been offroad

I had a look on the Black diamond link that christover posted for the Jeep flares that were in the vid, but they aren't listed.

The rear TJ duraflares would be about 4.75" and PERFECT material.

i have a mate with a 12 inch lift kit in his suzuki and he says his you cant brake them, and i have seen his scrub up agianst tress and shit they just bend back into place. but thanks for your opion do you have the 6 inch flares?

Yeah bushwackers look awesome, but i wouldn't recomend them at all... They are really brittle and any little knock and they tend to split in the eyelet where they are fixed to the panel. If u really want to run them on your zook, then i would recomend a set of brush bars... When i get around to it, thats what i'm going to do...

Hey guys, I paid $800 for postage but that was flares, high steer, spoa kit and lots of other little metal heavy parts...

Your best bet would be to email sean from lowrange and get a quote.. the flares come in a pretty big box...

Yeah I've managed to split one of mine too. Wish I knew that they were easily broke. Before I fitted them.
IMO they are the best looking flare for a Sierra just a shame there not the strongest.

I have duraflares on my Xoe. Very tuff.
I think they were the first vit ones made as a test,
with previous owner.
i have hit them hard a few times with no probs

I seriously thought bushwhackers were the strongest, seeing photos of cares driving over them and having both tips folded untill they touch each other.. I wanna get tube pipe on the side of mine incas eI do knock them... My only worry is the self tapping screws getting ripped out of the pannels...

i have spring over, 4 inch body lift, n 2 inch springs, so bout 10.5.. not 12 but gettn there :b haha
