| Post subject: | Jimny Filler hose leak ? |
Hi guys, this is the second hose that this has happened. The fuel filler hose has got tiny little pin holes in it, so petrol leaks everywhere. This is the one thats leaking. Obversely I have removed the plastic guard that usually protects it.
Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with it before. It can't be a manufacturing fault because its the second one. Its a complete pain in the arse because I can only fill it tank to half, and no off roading. What do you think is causing this problem, and should I fab up a guard to protect it. I do a heap of gravel road driving as well. So maybe rocks have made to holes some how ? Not sure though, it strange, as the holes are so tiny. Any Help appreciated. Cheers Oh and does anyone have a filler hose laying around that they want to get rid of ? |

Here's a pic of the one of the tiny holes.
Got another hose from One stop Suzuki and put it on. The cut a radiator hose down the middle and put it around the fuel filler hose and zip tied it on. Hopefully this will protect it from getting more holes.
We'll see how it goes. |

not really knowing Jimny's, what's the reason behind removing the plastic guard? |

Should of explained it better. I removed the guard to get to the hose with the leak. So some how its getting holes in it even though there is a plastic guard covering it. |
