Okay so this is sort of a Suzuki question as I have lux diffs in my zook.
I have a welded front diff and an open rear centre, I have bought an air leaker and was wondering if someone could tell me if the front and rear centres are interchangeable, as I would prefer the air locker in the front rather than the back.
Thanks in advance for the help :helloo: :D

i'd still put the thing in the back... at least your axles will thank you when you put the 2nd Locker in the front

I just bought a pair of ARB lockers in 4.88 centres (one a hi pinion) for $1500.... A mate bought just an ARB locker for $250..
They are around AND cheap if you look hard enough....

Is there any advantage to a high pinion diff? I picked up my arb new in box for 800, I have been looking for a second cheap one

High pinion raises the tailshaft and gives a lot more ground/rock clearance....
80 series use hi pinion front standard....

Hi pinion was designed so the gears use the stronger 'drive' side when placed in a front diff moving in the forwards direction. Placing one in the rear would mean you would be using the weaker 'coast' side when going forwards.
