hey yall, my tbi 1.3 hauls ass! But it has cold start issues like a carby, like when i start her up she will turn over and over until i hold my foot on the throttle, then it will splutter into life, i need to hold my foot there, and it's like it's miss firing, but will hold it's own after about 10-20 seconds of this. then it will go to die then the ecu reads this then skwerts more fuel in and this repeats till the zook standard temp sensor starts to read on the dash. then it has a flat spot after about 4K, but once hot she is back to normal. what could it be? it's a 16V 1.6 swift tbi on a G13A block and manifold. i do have a 02 sensor btw... cheers |

not sure how to tell joe, it's not starting till i pump and hold the throttle.... and it's not smelling rich at all.... like there isn't the traite black unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust, it's just clear smoke.... and it's only on idle that it's a pita.... the G13a is also, high lift cams, high comp cylinders, shaved, head and block and a rebuilt head (down to the rocker rods) it ran perfectly with my stock carby..... just extra info for the motor tech heads out there..... |
