Hi everyone just one question regarding the install of a G16B into a Sierra I know one of the engine mounts needs to be changed, and I've heard you can use RB30 engine mounts is this true? And if so what side needs to be replaced? Cheers nick |

Drivers side, there are 100+ threads on it in here. Much easier to buy an adapter kit to do it properly as you need the bell housing plate aswell, suzistore or ben T does them |

Jim, thats not entirely true. You dont HAVE to change the rubber mounts at all. Having said that, the 1.6 will put alot of strain on the sierra mounts and you will eventually brake one....or two. What year model sierra do you have? Is is a 1.3L or 1.0L? |

I have a sj410 and the 1.6ltr is already in and running. I already had the adaptor for the bell housing so buying the whole kit seems a bit useless as I only need the engine mount. The only problem is that the gearbox is kicked about 30mm towards the drivers side because the mounts are wrong that's why I was looking at changing the engine mounts. So is it a RB30 engine mount then? Cheers Nick |

Don't ask for RB30 mount cos your likely to get one from a nissan patrol. Ask for a 6cyl VL commodore mount. |
