I recently got a a/c unit from a 94 sierra :D the a/c pulley obviously has a 2nd smaller pulley attached for the belt.. This pulley has 5 holes to attach to the crankshaft... my 1.3 sierra pulley only has 4 holes??

question. did they make 1.3 sierra A/C pulleys with 4 holes?? or do they all have 5??

Do I drill out other holes into the A/C 5 hole pulley to suit the engine I have??

My G13A has a 5 bolt pulley - noticed that the pulley is a double row V as well. Is this normal? I don't have a pic of the pully at the moment but u can see on the timing gear that it has 5 holes.

if you can get hold of a timing gear with 5 holes in it i would think it would solve your problem!(as long as they are the same size!)

PS. I'll come help work on your car on the weekend if you want.

Be careful using a 1.6 timing belt pulley on the crank...
I can't remember off the top of my head which is which (1.3 or 1.6) but one runs a round tooth belt and one runs a square tooth belt....

I know my mrs brother's 1.3 has a crank pulley which is double (like the one on the right) I'd have to check whether it has 4 or 5 bolts though but it's a stock 94 1.3l if that helps.

G13A is 4 bolt, G13BA is 5 bolt, G15 is 5

and yes there are 2 different timing belt profiles, hopefully one isnt G13A and one G13b :)

my engine would be a G13A 4bolt..
any ideas if U can get a 4 bolt A/C pulley ???
or would I need to get a new timing gear to suit G13BA 5bolt ??

don't '94 sierra's have the G13BA?

Edit: misread your first post as you having a '94 sierra, nevermind

Ah my engine might be a bit of a frankenstein then. It's a 94 sierra but the engine has been replaced with a g13a some time before i bought it (1324cc cast on block). I'm assuming they just replaced the block and kept the g13ba crank etc.

no you didn't misread, he has a 1L sierra with a 1.3L engine in it (unknown year, probably an earlier one). he just brought the aircon from a 94 sierra for his car.

I have re-drilled several 4 bolts to 5 bolt, with no dramas. I did make sure they were properly lined up and centered though.

I spent $75 or so on a double row pulley (one ribbed, one v-belt), and couldn't see letting it sit on the shelf, so I re-drilled it. I have done some for friend since, and they have had no dramas either.
