hey guys
i put a different carby in my 1990 sierra, and now its reving off its head (idle speed its sitting at 4000 revs constanly) i played around with the idle screw but its not doing anything..
any ideas?

Was the gasket destroyed or put back in

throttle cable jammed somewhere?

At idle is the primary butterfly closed? If so you have a monster air leak. Put the carby hat back on and spray carb cleaner around the sides of the carb. If the engine hesitates at a certain point, you've found your airleak.

Let us know how you get on? Could also be pilot jet related but we will rule out easy stuff first.
