hey guys i put a different carby in my 1990 sierra, and now its reving off its head (idle speed its sitting at 4000 revs constanly) i played around with the idle screw but its not doing anything.. any ideas? thanks |

Was the gasket destroyed or put back in |

At idle is the primary butterfly closed? If so you have a monster air leak. Put the carby hat back on and spray carb cleaner around the sides of the carb. If the engine hesitates at a certain point, you've found your airleak. Let us know how you get on? Could also be pilot jet related but we will rule out easy stuff first. |
