Don't ask me I'm assuming that you can't as it may interfere with the operation of airbag sensors. I reckon most engineers would just say no Virtual lift is legal though |

Alot of people in the UK are running BL's in there jimny's and have had no issues steak_knife wrote: steak_knife wrote: just_cruizin wrote: Steve you could probably answer this question. Are the Airbay sensors G force activated or impact activated. You can legally fit body lift to vehicles fitted with G force activated airbags as they aren't effected. The new hilux has this setup and quite a few are fitted with BL's Impact I think, will look into it, but 99.9% sure impact.. Both Mr Just, has 2 impact sensor's behind the front bumper & a g force sensor IN the module..

yeah don't believe everything you see on the interwebs And just becausethe whinging poms are doing it 'without issue' doesn't make it safe or legal over here OR over there. |

Serious. I have heard airbags and bodylift is illegal. Why do you need bodylift? Can't extend the bumpstops? Cant hammer the inner guards? I know there is a huge welded seam in the front that will shread tyres. I have seen a pootrol with an extra cab ute chop on 37's with a bodylift Engineered. But not with blocks. The original bodymounts were removed and new ones were welded on 2" higher. Also depends on engineer. |
