noob cv question

gday guys, just got my new front axles from lowrange but the cv and axle are separate. how do i out them together? is it just a matter of a hit with a mallet??

They press in with abit of love. Stick the axel on the ground on some wood and put your weight into the CV..

a trick i use is to fill center with grease, and use the axles non circlip end, to force grease into bell and out of balls from inside.

yep no worries, wont be till next week as this week is pretty full.

do i need to use special grease? or can i use some bearing grease?
