My zook is an 89 model, March 89 on the build plate. Now I thought that narrowtrack 1.3 zooks were SJ50 and widetracks were SJ70, but mine is a SJ50 according to the build plate.

I've heard about the "88.5" zooks which are a little bit of NT and a little bit of WT. Jr Zook for example has plastic flares and NT diff/transfer flanges. I would have thought that by March 89 they'd have used up all their NT bits. My zook is all WT. Flanges, steel flares the dash is all WT. But the build plate says SJ50.

I know a guy with an '89 SJ50 that has a NT chassis (so much for NT's dieing in '88). It has been played with at some point and has WT diffs, dash and guards though.... It's the most concocted bitsa I have ever seen!

I thought they changed the name when they changed the design. That made sense to me and I could get to sleep easily at night. Now i'm haunted by the possibility that i've been deceived all this time by a NT in WT clothing. Don't you see what's happening here??? IT'S NOT RIGHT!!!!

Yes and yes....
Transfer same except flanges.
Diffs same (3.7:1) except flanges.
88.5 (plastic flares) has nt flanges, 89 has WT flanges.
