ok, so after all this rain we have been having,
i took the suzuki off to a place near me, lots or mud holes and dams and other things to have fun in.

i have made my zookie pretty water tight, or thought i had.
the water was coming from what looked to be on the passanger side above the footwell?? :twisted:

was keen to inspect but then my brother followed me through a very large mud hole :helloo: and his ford courier desided to have a drink of the muddy water.. i pulled the air hose off the intake manifold to find the hose was chocka block!! :roll:
intercooler and turbo the same.. got the engine going but had to limp home with no filter turbo or intercooler. just the intake manifold!

so has anyone got ideas where i should look for this water leak??

Water will ALWAYS get in. Make sure whatever you do to slow it down doesn't make it impossible to get it out.

Seems dodgy...but I take out my floor bungs when I know im doing water crossings, comes in quick, but goes out just as quick also :lol:

Water comes in, Let the water out. Its simple..

On my zook i had suction caps sitting in the holes as plugs, on a string. water comes in, pull the string, plugs let the water out without loosing them in the mud.

I used them because i was sick of the holes making cold air going up my trousers in winter.

If you think it's coming in under the windscreen, I had what I thought was a similar issue, so I got some closed cell sticky back sealing foam rubber from clark rubber, fixed it right up (that is assuming you have a folding screen)

I've taken all the carpet out of my zook so I can find anymore leaks and it doesn't matter if it gets wet or dirty inside, I've also lost a bung and have to cover it with my foot if any windows are down or I get the breeze up the leg.

I am contemplating getting a couple of those sink plugs that are spring loaded pop up and down when you push them, and fitting them into the floor so I can pop them up to let water in/out!

What he said. Under the bonnet on the fire wall are 2 rubber pipes that poke out then bend towards the ground. These let the water out that comes in through the intake vent just below the windscreen (on the outside of car).

Anyway these get blocked with mud and shit then all the water that comes through the top vent goes straight into the cab.

The way i cleaned mine out was to stick the garden hose up them to flush it afew times to get it all out. Also take all your mats out to because you will get water inside while doing this.

Even when they arent blocked they can only handle so much water, ive gone through some huge puddles and you still get abit in.

yeah they are a lil bit full.. i checked them before i went out and they were FULL.
just cleaned as much as i could out but i will try the garden hose idea! thanks.
