I think its a great idea, but wanted to research it further before committing an opinion. In theory the swap works but I haven't seen one where its been completed and driven. There are several aw4 variants that aren't electronically shifted. |

Found one of these Pajero boxes today at Central Coast 4x4 wreckers. $770 with unknown history on the car it came out of. Bit on the savage side I reckon. Whats the going price for a vitara aw4? Considering you'll still need one of those to savage parts off. |

Hardly a solution, more of a hack I think. For those who run a g16a then perhaps it's ideal, allbeit pricey. Personally I'd much prefer a genuine zook aw4 with tcu. Must be the nerd in me just being more at home with a computer. |

Nah just add a TPS in interpret the throttle %, convert to inverted grey code and feed to the ECU. Simple! I still need to scope out a vehicle running an auto so I can try and spec something up for the TPS to inverted grey code converter that seems to be required by the TCM. |

Correct! Tho I need a vehicle with a working 4-speed to analyse first. |
