hmmm might have a think about it. its a little more than i was hoping to spend. i was also wanting one of the full ones (so i can still have the back seats). witch i guess is gona cost even more hahaha. thats what made me think of half building one myslef and getting it finished (welded and bent up.) by a mate thats a boat builder. i wanna try get away under $1000. cheers fro the help. ill probs do some drawings up and get a quote for somthing similar to that aswell as the full top ones. if ur interested ill let ya know what its gona cost. i recon it should be cheaper than that. |

if your mate can build me an ally one under $1k with all the fixings and seals i'd be keen too! i'd still want the tray-covered tonneau style though. |

i havent spoken to him bout it yet, hes not realy a mate just done alot of work for us. he did the draw system in my oldmans cruzer full custom, and prety much fills the back half of the troopy for 600 so im guessing the tray back will be reasonably cheep. i wont be able to get to see him for about a month (bloody school) but ill pm ya when i do. but drawings will be done as soon as i get my zook back. (hopfully by saturday) sorry for the delays |

IMHO they are all rubbish unless you can find the factory optional hardtop. they look correct and work much better than the aftermarket ones, especially flexiglass. A guy in our club had one years ago and it was sweet. There was one for sale here: http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... ic&t=22227 They look a bit different to the aftermarket ones, and fit beautifully. |

I have a rally tops hard top on my vitara. I bought it through Lowrange. It was ordered with VN1 paint and arrived with black jelcoat/ primer. I had to strip it and pay to have it painted locally after paying rallytops for paint already. Shipping was about $400US and there was that again for customs clearance fees, Quarantine inspection and port charges. Fitting instructions were included but they were for another model of vitara. The fit of the top around the body panels as appauling, and it is only mounted with 2 small M6 bolts. No clips, latches, brackets or anything! Fucking SHIT!! In summary, don't buy a rally tops hard top. |
