Hi,

been looking into some 50 mm spring spacers and confused about one thing. Can I put 50 mm spacers in both the front and back? Or am I spose to put 25mm in the front and 50 mm in the back?

Cheers,

Phil

Assuming you are talking about Vitara coil spacers, 25 mm front will give 50mm lift and 50mm in the rear to give the same result. The front coils work on a different ratio due to the spring being in closer. Rough way of a lift but yes it works.
Think about getting some OME shocks for the front as std struts tend to have a habbit of topping out with 50mm of lift, they are to my knowledge the longest replacement strut on the market unless someone can correct me.

If its a vitara your talking about then yes you put half in the front of what your putting in the back because of the ifs.

Yeah, talking about a Vitara- I forgot to mention that...sorry. Thanks for the info.

Yep, a bit of a short cut for a lift but just want a tad more height. Pretty happy with the stock suspeion set up I have- for now anyway.

Thanks again.

Cheers,

Phil

if you buy a full kit it will have the right ones in it to match front and rear

this is the kit i am using from low range. comes with rear, front and front shock spacers for a 50mm lift

What others have said is generally true and accepted , but I have a steel ARB bar on mine and have 30mm spacers in the front and 40mm in the rear and it looks right . So maybe the half at the front rule is for standard applications .
