Just wanting to know if its possible to cut the 'high part' off a high top? I'm guessing that the frame runs through there so i wouldnt be able to, but just wondering Dave |

I wouldnt. You could possibly cut it off and reweld a normal top, but way too much work. It would be easier to do a straight full body swap. |

Removing the roof skin from a Hitop and replacing with a tintop is possible but is a lot more work than cutting the whole turret through the pillars. |

Dave, Just live with it. The hi-tops are quirky, but cool IMO. And they make it easier to get a couple 6' tall blonde supermodels in the back |

At which point you'd still want to do a body swap. Cut the roof off a hardtop and the body gets VERY floppy. There's a lot more strength in a soft top tub around the cowl and B pillar. There's no way to low-roof a high-roof without cutting up another tub - much easier to do a body swap. Steve. |

Leave it high, otherwise you just have another hardtop or soft top. Modified hightops are rare, so you will have something a bit unique |

Just keep it a high top if you buy it |

is it expensive to repair rust? I've got a few mates who are boilermakers, would they be able to fix this kind of thing, or is a specialised type of job? |

Doors are easy to replace ( $100 each) If you repair them they will still need paint. Any floor rust can be repaired so laong as its not in all of the seams. |
