Hi guys - I've been on the lookout for a small open top vehicle, and found an ally in the Vitara. A great one has cropped up, i'd just like to get the opinions of some others, and any final queries worth putting forward before a purchase.

- 1997 SUZUKI VITARA SE416C Type5 JX
- Black, body straight, great condition, mechanically clean & sound
- 185,000km
- New canopy
- Interior fine, seats clearly have had animals in there though, some tar damage so will probably need a re-carpet
- $3900

$750 of work is required for RW, which is

- 2x new tires
- New winscreen (tiny chip)
- Front brake discs
- A few lights

It seems to all check out, and a total spend of $4650 seems reasonable, in comparison to earlier 90's models with much more on the dial...

Would love any input!

Cheers
Oli

i bought a 97 for my wife a few months ago. it had heaps of rego on it, but needed a set of tyres and a new roof. i got it for $4700. since i got it home i have discovered it needs something in the fornt end cause its got no 4wd, the heater core leaks, and it needs new front discs as well. mine has 200k kms on it. id say 3900 is very reasonable.
they seem to sell pretty quick to, i had trouble getting one!!
