Rather than just start a new thread. Has anyone ever seen a dizzy with a slot at the bottom? Does it drive the oil pump? It is a 4k toyota engine. Thanks, |

That doesn't really matter. But if there is not enough spline engaement, the slip joint will flog around on the spline. Is there any movement in yours? |

I only just put the motor and gearbox in so I haven't driven it. So the transfer case doesn't get much of forward-back motion? At a guess 90% of the spline would be engaged with the output shaft. |

At a guess 90% of the spline would be engaged with the output shaft. Then thats as good as it gets. No there should not be any fore-aft movment. |
