since ive fitted my 2" lift and tough dog rtc coiled steering dampener, my steering wheel has started to go more and more upside down, it was always slighly just off, but today its nearly upside down.
steering is still fine and doesnt pull or drag to one side at all, even under brakes.

whats the prob, i know this happens with coiled trucks when you lift them and dont have caster bushes etc, but i didnt think this could be so far out on a leafy, is this a caster problem, i didnt think so as its only 2" higher than standard, or is it the rtc dampener, have i not set it up properly?

how do i fix this? rip the steering wheel off and re set it in the proper position? or do i have a bent steering arm?

Its not a castor problem...

When you lift the car, the geometry of the steering components changes... When the wheels are straight ahead, the pitman arm is not in the same position it used to be, its actually turned slightly, so with the steering wheel straight the wheels actually point slightly to the right (from memory)...

Drop pitman arm would be the best solution, yes...

Just pull the steering wheel and put it back on in the right alignment. There's no other adjustment in the system. This is 100% normal, and 2" is 40% of your front wheel travel, so it's a significant amount.

If the straight ahead position of the steering wheel changes day to day, you have something loose and you need to find what that is.

Does the steering box only turn so far in each direction, or is steering lock determined another way? If it was in the box then you would lose about half a turn in one direction and gain about half a turn in the other?

i think if i got the wheels straight, than ripped the steering wheel off and aligned it so its straight also, that would negate that problem i presume ben?
