Ok here is the plan since my ankle has given up and am having difficulties in clutch depression I want to make her into an auto.
And since I now work back in the wrecking game I have sourced a G16B GTI engine and an auto vitara box.
So my question is can these be married and fitted with minimum fuss or am I looking at a major brain strain.
The other question is can I turn the G16B from efi to carby as well

cheers in advance Al

I'm not sure what or if there is a g16b gti asides making a hybrid But if it's just a g16b out of a vitara the box will go straight on

Why would you want to go back to carby :?

I did some reading on a carby fed G16b GTI awhile back. G16B block, with different pistons and crank to bump up the compression. GTI head with cams and porting, custom manifolds, bike carbs and a mk1 dizzy.
Was putting out around 190hp in a caterham style car.

I dare say a 4AGE would have been an easier and cheaper option to acheive this though.

I think the biggest issue with a budget build will be the lack on compression with GTI head on a stock G16b block
