ok kids just put M13A VVt engine / gearbox into a 98 jimny. problem I have is that my jimny has manual t-case and new wiring and gear is auto t-case. some how I am missing my 4wd Controller module off the old system (G13BB) so Im looking for a photo of one so I can hunt around my bits and see what I can find. it sits up under the dash with the body module. from what I remember it has 4WD controller assy on it |

Wana come and compare the 2?? I would say you have pulled all the wiring out of the engine bay and put in a later model loom?? When emgine conversion was done.. Including all solenoids and fuse boxes and relay boxes?? Then put in the vvt one loom?? The switch on the transfer switches a vacuum solenoid which in turn puts vacuum to the hubs to make them engage. 2 options as I see it.. Rewire it all in with a vac solenoid etc... Not to difficult to do.. Or Go to manual hubs |

yeah Im in the middle of cutting the flares off and making it look more japanese. getting rid of the plastics.. making it clean with just a 65mm rubber edging. makes it look a lot higher off the ground and gives more clearance in the arch. Im about to try some 30" wranglers on it to see how it goes. (standard shocks) |

i have taken photos. I might put something up on it.. oh I fixed the problem with the 4WD.. I found that the vacuum hose was split under the guard.. now it works.. but the 4wd lights are flashing and warning lights going off everywhere.. need to figure out how to stop them. |

SDT, Suzuki Diagnostic Tool. or a good scan tool, most won't do much other than read code's.... |

isn't the only input signal to the 4wd module that makes the 4wd light flash from the vacuum sensor near the solinoids? I'm sure it is all jimny's have a 4wd module in the early ones it will be above the fuse box screwed to the panel the speaker is mounted to its a black box wish i had a photo for you. you should be able to fix the flashing 4wd light by making sure there is no vacuum loss in the hub locking system. the module will apply vacuum to the locking or unlocking circuit (depending what your doing) for 10 or 15 seconds) than vents the system. the sensor measures the locking circuit only(from memory). a genuine suzuki manual explains this very well also thinking out of the box will help you understand this system. |

cheers gman Ill look for more leaks and read my manual. I thought maybe it had something to do with the 4WD being engaged on the tcase but the buttons not pressed on the centre consule. |
