How hard to sort out a few more speeds on my wipers? Both wiper speeds are exactly the same on the Sierra - slow and slower...

Dash is out, gotta hit the wreckers tomorrow anyway, I'm OK with elecy stuff, got all the joiny stuff i'll need... is it as simple as a new wiper stalk for the steering column and a control module, or more to it than that?

How is an intermittent going to solve your speed issue? Are you trying to add that just as an extra. Is the wiper motor in a Sierra as fast as they can go? I absolutely agree with you, wipers suck!! Rainex and/or a good set of wiper blades helps also

my wipers are nearly slow as the car itself in my sierra i just put rainex on the windscreen works a treat hardly need wipers

I'd like a faster setting and a once every 5 -10 seconds setting... only if it's an easy sort though. Perth rain is funny, you get really annoyingly slow rain you never see in QLD, and you get ultra heavy downpours... the zook only has one answer to all of it

Rainex. You will hardly ever use your wipers again.

Besides, Any faster and the joints will rip your window frame to pieces.

you should already have intermittent wipers, i will bet that your wiper arms
are nearly seized
try lubing them and see how ya go.

anyone ever notice with Rainx in real heavy rain on the highway you end up with this big band of water pushed up right in front of your eyes on the screen

I havent owned a sierra for 6 years

the air off the screen would push the water halfway up the screen where it would sit and slowly roll off the side

I think you can still buy replacement wiring smoke top-up kits from lucas too, for when the smoke leaks out of the wires- but I dont know if the whitworth threaded top-up kit comes with a metric adaptor to suit these modern fourbies
