Pretty sure you need custom u-bolts aswell. I think extended driveshafts help aswell.

I think you also need all the stuff for a hi-steer conversion.(more than just the droped pitman arm, steering box)

Traction bar
Flat springs with added rate
relocated bumpstops
Different shocks
Possibly different shock mounts
On top of the things already mentioned.
It's a big project. Make sure you know exactly why you are doing it before you start. If its because you want to run bigger tyres or have more wheel travel, SPOA is unlikely to be your answer.
Steve.

How many cars have you put back to SPUA:D It's a PITA.
I've put two cars back to SPUA and in both cases they ran more tyre with less problems after the SPOA than before.

Most of the sierras in the nsw Suzuki club are all soa but alot are lwb
Alot have gone to lux diffs after years of breaking stuff
I find them way to tippy and u spent most of the day holding up the side of the car so it don't fall over
Unless ur are a great driver that knows his car like the back of ur hand u will just end up on it's side or lid all the time
Swb soa are scary to drive u spend most of the time on two wheels
If it's not done right it's just plane dangerous to drive
Just remember what u go up u must go out

my spoa is no taller than a 2" spring and 2" bodylifted sierra... maybe 10-15mm taller MAX... its not tippy by any means.

No offence mate, but no amount of reading about it will compare to aliens experience driving an SPOA Sierra every day.

It's more effort than people are willing to execute.......i.e being tight arses.
I ran it for many years, no problem. A heap of other cars I did....once again....no problem, but most of those people couls drive and had a well set up zook. COG....debatable. I've seen SPUA cars lifted as much.....and they roll over at the slightest sign of flatulance.
People say to me...gee....your coil system is nice and stable....doesn't seem to sit that high either. Well, it's about the same height as the SPOA I had. As for travel....It's about the same. Fuck what GWAGEN sais.....you will gain travel if its done right over a similar SPUA.
And on a side note tryhard........Jimny's ARE real 4x4's, Just as much as Sierras are....and I would go as far as saying they are a heap more capable out of the box than a crusty leafy is anyday.

OK il Put it another way ... Does Aliens Zook Really go down the Track any easyer then my Spring under Zook ... Answer No it does not Twin-locks make up for my lack of flex .. in fact i havnt done anything to make my zook flex better to be more stable .. in fact in hind Side i Prob Should have
i could make my Zook Flex Better then Aliens SPOA Zook .. and it would be Cheaper More Stable .. and better yet Road Legal ..... Davids Crews Zook Is a Pefect Example of that .. all he needs is a front locker and he will crawl every where .. SPOA IS NOT NEEDED and the Benifts are very Minimal
.... Alien went SPOA because he had the $ to do so .. does not mean it was a good move .. but it does work for him and he did have to get it looked at not that u can do that anymore ! ..

Just as many illegal SPUA vehicle out there too.
Tryhard.........I would love to see you make your SPUA system work better than Kenns' LJ when it was a leafy........won't happen.

spoa is uneccesary and cog is higher than it has to be for the flex and tyre clearance required, well setup spua will better a spoa setup everytime on road and offroad, unless track width and diff selection is modified accordingly. Take this as fact because it is despite how many interweb mechanics and yanks tell you otherwise

OK Joe show me What Kens Old LJ could do when it was on Leafs..
And Tell me how much Time and effort u spent trying to get it right .. then u ditched it anyways to go Coils ? i think am i right ..
what im sayings Is it Really worth the Effort .. Most people say no ..
the Amount of $ and time Fabbing moving shit around u might as do Linky .. i just see it as a Waste of time and Effort ..id Rather put the effort in and link it but as u say each to there own
Some photos of Kens old LJ on leafs would be good

Each to their own i reckon.. Also terrain depending.
Good SPOA
Bad SPOA
In MY opinion.

mine only has a rear locker too btw =)
Crewsy's sierra is FAR from legal, even if he's running the same springs SPUA, because he has to run extra leaves for lift its stiff, and relys on the drop shackles to get more flex.
