i used a drill through the lock when i did the same thing.
just separate the filler hose from the tank to avoid metal getting into the tank.

Do what I do when I lose things. Don't look for it, It'll always turns up when your looking for something else.

I've lost count of how many times I needed something in my toolbox then find something I needed the day before.

Believe me, It works !!

are the fuelcaps actually matched to the keys? i assuemed they would open to any suzuki key of the same model.

My friend who is a locksmith in brazil explained to me that he could make a key by putting a sheet of something (i think soft metal) into the lock and the pins would leave indents. From that he could file down a blank into the general shape and fine tune it from there. Its the sort of thing i guess the average locksmith would rather not do... but maybe the internets will give you a better idea of the process.

but seriously.... keep a spare at home (like the original if possible)

Lockable fuel caps are a adtermaket part I think, so deffently has a different key

I didn't get a spare with the car only one of each
I'm surprised I lost them cost the cab has been siting on the ground for 6 months, I go to put the cab back on the chassis nd they weren't in there :?

Your car won't see the road for a while yet so don't be in a hurry to destroy the cap.
Fill the tank via the rubber filler pipe until you find the keys.

How far could they have gone?

They turn up if they don't I'll get some cut, and then if they turn up I'll have three keys :D
