Ok, got some mud tyres comin' and I wanna know what you guys think is a good PSI for them on the beach? My plan was 25 PSI on road, and 15 PSI on sand- sound about right? They tyres at this stage (unless proven other-wise Oh, the car they're going on is a Vitara wagon, so it weighs 1180 kilos or so I think... Cheers, Phil |

Start at 15psi but if it is very soft 10 would be min. The normal is Road tyres 18-20 PSI and Muds are always 5psi under that. This has served me well over the 25yrs of driving on the beaches. Remember if loaded stay on the Road tyre PSI so if you get stuck you can get out of trouble with that 5psi up your sleeve |

I go with 8-10psi in the bush. And about 8-6 on the beach. |

got any dunes like this up your way? 35psi would have you bogged in seconds down here. [flash width=480 height=385]http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/dCKXFC8quOg.swf[/flash] |

in the sans depends on who im with but usual between 6 to 8, unless i wanna just cut sick and go fast them about 15 but normally causes mass wheel spin so not good for the track or the car on the road around 25 and rocks around 12, thats on 31s |

Claws, sideways @60-70k, airborne, up on two wheels, 5psi. Didn't mean to get her up on two wheels, that was brick shitting time, till I came down, then it was a giant adrenalin rush. |

When I first got my vit I tried 12 on Stockton was way to high and had to drop to 9 to get anywhere with out it just bogging down That was in the same size tire as u but it was a at or ht type I would start at 10 and go down from there if u find it's bogging down Only go 1 psi at a time as that's a big % of drop When starting at 10 As long as u don't do any shap turns or hard breaking which is stupid on sand anyway u shouldn't role a bead Make sure u have a compressor with u though |
