Hey Guys,

I'm going to ask a noob question because my noob mate just bought a 2008 GV and wants me to lift it. Are there lift kits out for these? I tried googling, OME, ARB etc but can't find anything directly relating to a kit for the 08 model. Anyone know of any. He wants to lift it just enough for 30-31s.

good luck getting 31's to fit. Rocky road do a 2 1/4 lift for the latest model GV.

Thanks guys. I'm still hoping OME do something but the arb and ome websites don't show anything. Guess I'll have to check out rocky road for him.

Seeing as Joe's the vitara king and all he suggested was a bodylift my mates car might be staying a hair dressers car a bit longer yet. He is a personal trainer though which is only 1 step away from a hairdresser

Ahhh I get jokes......just read the newer GVs are unibody. That'll teach me for having a total lack of interest in vits other than their engine and its usefulness as a transplant

I have a GV 08 diesel and am looking to lift it.

I need to increase my overall ground clearance. I am a bit confused as to whether the coil spacers will do that???

Pay careful attention to the front control arm rear bushings on any lifted 06 and later GV - I have seen these bushes torn after a single bush run with a stock height GV.

Because of the suspension design, these bushes do not pivot when the vehicle is lifted - they flex and eventually tear.
