Has anyone used these.
I am looking at running either this type of shock or a coilover on Hilux diffs and changing to link set up. Remember this is an off road only rig.... Thoughts..... |

personally I think a coil over is a far better idea as you get away from the uncontrolled unloading |

what he said...BUT coilovers are alot more expensive. those air shocks in 16" will work great with a bit of tuning |

Yeah I just thought I would throw it out there. The coilovers DO provide a better ride, control (adjustment) and still give you good flex. I am looking at some Rancho RS9000X Pro Series Coilover Shocks from the states as they dont sell them over here...
Thanks... |

Just read up on the info and a few are being used in the states. Just looking what is out there. If people have tried and tested coilovers i am hoping to get pointed in the right direction. |

I would look at what your local guy stock and sell (not arb/tjm but a decent offroad racing shop) and consider them... Partly just because of the after sales support/tuning help etc. and also for any warranty issues. But I dont have enough real world experience to give proper advice sorry. |

But I dont have enough real world experience to give proper advice sorry. Normally I would agree with you on this one, but the difference in price of a fox coilover here and direct from the US is staggering! Not worth buying from Oz. |

My recent purchase was from Downsouth Motorsports. 4x King 2"/14" External res coilovers, with springs to suit, you work out your cars weight, they will fix the valving and coil rates to suit. Too easy! 2400 to my door. Pm me if you want more details. I have a secret. |

Look at the site. All real. Incl springs. And if you go fox, you have to buy springs, works out about $20 cheaper, total. Polyperformance are a ripoff also so dont go there. There service is easy to deal with, but so is downsouth. Im meeting Neil from there soon so i can bring a locker and axles from lowrange via downsouth to me, in luggage to back home. They rule. |

If you email the King dealer, you wil get a cock in qld with a ripoff price. $120aud per spring, you need 8! Vs 60usd each... Usa ftw again! |
