I should say that ive had no troubles in 4 odd months
Is it possible that bad fuel could be the cause ?

mine had a bad stutter on take off, is it fuel injected ? could it be the MAP sensor ? they're expensive, but if you have a spare you could swap it (or borrow from a friend).

How long have you been running with a bad O2 sensor? you may have stuffed the cat.

OK I solved the problem my self cleaned the EGR which was fine anyway and found a cracked vacuum line that goes to the charcoal canister. Problem fixed so far, I have to take it for a proper drive yet and see!
