hey guys just about to make a bash plate for the vitara. i have calmini diff drop brackets which sits the diff just below the cross member that it bolts to just curious if i should lower the whole height of the bash plate under the diff like the calmini one or just cut a small hole and cap it where the diff is and sit the rest of it hard against the crossmember to keep it almost flat.

Why not Run a bit of Flat Bar Below the Crossmember??? it only sits 5 or 10mm max lower.

i would make to whole think slightly lower. cutting a hole and capping it would create a edge that could get caught up.

just out of curiosity, why are you making a bash plate?

why would i not make a bash plate.
i going to make it all the way through through to the transfer cross member in the long wheel base you get hung up on them a bit. and the sort of terrain i drive my front cross member already has a bend in it plus its a bit of protection for my alloy front diff not keen on seeing how it goes against some rocks.
