is it misfiring? that could cause a buildup of fuel in the exhaust. it looks gangsta anyway |

The video isn't playing. I'd be a bit concerned you have a sticking injector - there is no way on a stationary car there should be enough excess fuel lying around to cause a flame, especially with EFI. It might happen if you snap the throttle shut from high revs/high load, but no way when free revving. If it's a sticking injector you need to get it sorted quick - if could flood the motor and hydraulic it. Maybe a misfire, but it would have to be an epic missfire. I was at the Pines Enduro last weekend and the top buggies flatshift - a momentary ignition cut whilst they slam the gear through. Even at 8000rpm and 800HP they don't flame on the shift, but t hey do flame on overrun. PS are you running a toyota computer? Steve |

My rotar does that. Brings the coolness. Started a grass fire once. That was pretty fun. |

I would say check your timing, Air fuel ratios, spark and injectors. I'm sure that is caused by fuel being dumped through the exhaust. I have some bigport 4age injectors here if you need to test them. |

are you running the latest in anit-lag technology, like that WRC cars? that is cool, but it can't be good for the motor or you cat converter. |

I think Gwagen is on the money. I don't know how the Age injectors are, but this can happen to a vit TBI system when the O-ring or seal goes bad, it pumps fuel right down the throttle body. Is it possible your high pressure pump is overpowering the injectors? How is your fuel return line setup, and what are you using for a return? |

Return is 5/16 stainless from a 2l surge tank As for the h/p pump over powering injectors makes a bit sence and could be possible as Im not running a fuel pressure regulator |

But surely there's a stock reg on the fuel rail? It's not possible to run with no reg The flames are a recent change? I agree that in theory the stock reg could be being overwhelmed by the flow of the Bosch pump. Checking fuel pressure at the rail would be the obvious way to check, but if this is the case and fuel pressure was high enough to push flames, then the car should be running massively rich under power, probably to the point it will bog. I've had lots of fuel pressure issues with my 660 and if fuel pressure goes up by 10psi the drivability goes to poo. Steve. |

I'm not running an afternarket furl press reg, It probably has one built into the fuel rail one the engine I don't know Yes it does flame condinuisly kruzin if it given the berries round 6500 rpm. And IT has NEVER done this and ran like the clappas for the past year and still does, no power diff what so ever This is my concern |

You haven't recently had the fuel tank/system out? Had any rocks/logs jam up under the car? is it possible the return fuel line has become crimped? That would up the fuel pressure heaps. Getting any trouble codes? IMHO it's got to be base fuel pressure or a sticking injector. Steve. |

pull the plugs out and compare them if its only one injector causing the prob you will see which one it is, but if it was just one i think you would have a miss down low for sure. if its there all the same has to be fuel pressure like steve said. |
