Im makeing one for myself at the moment. Its a 6mm plate laser cut out to match the rear mounting face of the vitara gearbox but with a machined hub welded in to it .The hub will hold a single row deep groove ball bearing that is sealed for life as well as a double lipped oil seal in front of it to keep out as much dirt as possible. This will be a bolt up unit to allow you to use the sierra jack shaft straight onto the out put shaft of the vitara gear box.

If anyone is interested let me know will be able to price this all up latter today as I will get the price for the laser cutting and bearing ,seal today.

Can't see why you would run the vitara manual box into a sierra transfer, over just using the sierra 5speed.

I can. Cos the sierra 5sp is a piss week sack of prehistoric shit!

BTW you don't need to make an 'adapter' to run the vitara 5sp. You just retain the front housing of the vitara transfer and wack a seal and a welch plug in to seal it all up. The vitara 5sp box already has a rear main shaft bearing.

Its the Auto that relies on the front transfer shaft bearing for support.

EDIT: my comments are based on a few assumptions. That the OP is using the 5sp manual.... and that my comments on the auto box were based on the AW4. I have no idea what the bearing arrangement is in the traumatic.

Running a 5spd in a vitara im building for Tuff Truck but with a sierra transfer case so I can get lower gearing .

You could run as you say the front section of the vitara transfer case but the bearing is the wrong inside diameter for the jack shaft. Also just dont like so much shaft sticking out of the rear of the 5sp gear box with out any support.

Will post up a couple of photos when I get it all finished.
