ive searched and found mixed answers... ive got the engine out of my sierra and am attempting to replace the rear main. i have a service manual that tells me how to do it while the engines apart, but not how to do it while its intact... does that little housing thing have to come off or is it possible to just pull the old one out and new one in without undoing anything past the flywheel?
