Yeah from the center on the hub to the
Bottom of the flare straight up, you can
See it in the shackles right one is pushed
Out Forward more than the left.

From what I can remember the EFS front springs are different side to side..(I think).. Swapping springs side to side cant hurt.
Either way, my sierra still has a massive lean, and its had allot weight moved to the left side to counteract this..

Yeah am trying to get the weight evened at the
moment, Mounting the the spare in back on the left
Standing up, all my tools go on the left. This may
Help abit, but the fuel tank, driver, battery are all
On the left.

how much does yours lean, just out of interest?

mate you are going to have to play with the leaf packs. I just did this on the weekend and it worked a treat. Although my application is a little different, did you install the springs properly in the first place?

The 65mm lift springs are only designed to carry 60kg constant load in the rear so pretty much a spare and basic tools. They are not a heavy load carrying spring.

I would do either of two things:

- swap the front springs around. The lowering on the rear right is probably due to the front left sitting high and pushing the rear right down.

- take the load leaf out of the left front pack and let it settle.

Thanks mate, am gonna swap the front
Springs around and see how it settles
For now.

Constant load means daily driving hey, so
When I go on a camping weekend and Load
her up what's that gonna do to the rear spings?

ok, sierra's lean to the right they just do
the reasons and contributing factors are the driver
fuel tank and the fact that the engine torques to the drivers side when reved. even if u swap the springs from left to right, in a day it will be the same.
Removing the swaybar doesnt help matters either.
As mentioned above u have to add a leaf an play a bit of mix and match to remove the lean.

Kinda makes you wonder if it was originally designed for the LHD market. Would be cool to find out the actuall L/R weight distribution with driver.

Good point mate, they did sag very quicky
In the first place. So what would you recommend
Take a pack out of the left or put an extra pack
In the right? (from my old spings?

i would go to westralia springs or a trailer spring place and get a nice long spring made up with a fair bit of arc, or use a leaf out of a hilux leaf pack.
however, your car should only be lifted enough to fit the tyres u want to run so if u can afford to loose a bit of height maybe try removing one first.

The more crap you cart the lower the spring will sag :D it'll probably drop a bit but because you will be removing springs in the front everything will probably even out a bit.

If you still have your old springs what you could do is add one of those leaves to the driver side front pack to boost it up a touch, it should make a small difference, enough to correct the lean in conjunction with removing a leaf from the drivers side to get it running flat.

Ours lean here to. The battery, fuel tank and spare are what does it. Even with YJ springs they start to sag after a few months.

I am lucky that when I setup the springs I put the most used ones on the right, and ones in best condition on the left. The sag has pretty much been gone for near a year now, but I also carry everything on the right side. I also make the passengers sit on the right if they are in the back

It would help to relocate the battery and spare to the other side. The spare would be easiest, but their is room for a battery on the passenger side too. not much you can do about the fuel tank and torque loading though.

The cool thing about custom packs is that when you get the packs right, it will drive down the road better, and won;t be such a handful, because the stiffer springs on the right side will actually be working how they are supposed to, and be able to hold some weight.

You would be surprised how much better the Sierra handles with a balanced suspension.

FWIW
I think Suzuki figured the battery, spare, and fuel tank would offset the drivers weight in the RHD, but they did not account for the torque loading.

On another note, having the front in about 1"lower than the rear should help with handling and possibly give you a little mileage because of the aerodynamics. If the nose is up, and the windshield flat, the Sierra has worse aerodynamics than a brick when heading into the wind, it will rob power and affect mileage.

Leave the load leaf in, which is the bottom one. Pull the next one out.. Pulling the load will flex nicely but sag quickly.

Ive removed the leaf 3rd for the bottom
because the 2nd one had the bracket studed
To it suppose thats ok.

Took it bit of drive, and it has reduced the
Lean in the front to 20mm (was 40mm) and
In the back to 0mm even (was 20mm)

Am happy, I can live with 20mm ill see
What it does after a bit of driving
