I don't think you have much to worry about sticking an extra 2 psi in with the extra weight from the bar it's probably a good idea, you should be fine. Just don't go sticking an extra 20psi in

Hi, Just wondering what Tyre pressure I should run on my Jimny. The label on the door sill says 23psi for the front and 26psi for the back. I tried that and the tyres bag too much. So i've put 25psi in the front and 28 psi in the back. It seems to run better but, I dont know if it will damage the tyres. I have no idea about tyre pressure. I do have an ARB bar on the front so I'm guessing I need to run more air in the front to compensate for the weight. Anyone HELP!!!!!! Cheers Shoey |

They put in 38  I deflated them in front of the bloke and he said I was crazy. Would cause uneven wear

I run 18psi on stock tyres. I was running 10psi with the 31's, but they had a much stiffer sidewall. |

That, coupled with the fact that you run a bigger tyre, I would assume it would handle a hell of alot differently..... You've only gotta look at guys on the beach with bigger tyres needing to go lower to get them to bag preoperly... eg. I've driven with guys on 31s that needed to go to 7psi compared to my 12psi on stockers... same thing on the road dude, if not all your tyre meets the road properly, it's going to affect the traction in some way! Not necessarily enough to make you crash and burn, but it could help you avoid it! |

i run 32 in mine on yokohama at's. when i got them from the tyre shop they had 42. any lower than 26 mine handels like poo and with the locker and no power steering it's abit nice to drive every day |

best way i reckon to make sure tires are running correctly on road is pump them to say 30 psi then drive onto a dirty concret floor let them down untill almost the whole tire pattern starts to touch the floor so as that when it rolls dirt covers the tread completely or pump the rears right up for some side ways action when its rains best thing to do is to test pressure every 1s driving style vehicle weight and handleing is different plus tires sizes ands compounds make a massive difference have a play and see what works best for u |

If you are going to start from scratch with tyre pressures, you need to apply the 4PSI rule. I would be surprised if the 4PSI rule results in more than about 24PSI cold in a Jimny with LT tyres. Steve. |
