This does not work for me, even with a BFO sledge hammer.
The axle still doesn't budge.
Any ideas?

Bolt the drum back on, then bolt a rim on and try wiggle it side to side.

Heat the bearing cup really well with a propane torch (no oxy or map gas). The give it a good whip with a chain.

How thick are the links on the chain, and how long is the chain? A light chain won't budge them, it needs to be heavy. I use about 6 feet of chain ,maybe more and whip the chain with by hand.

Mine would not go anywhere, I mean no where without heat.

We are heating itnow as we speak.
Tried from 2foot to at least 10foot of chain

anchor the other side of the hosing too. chain it to another axle off another rig if you have to. if the axle can move at all (from tie flex, or suspension play) the movement will absorb the shock and it won;t go anywhere, because your chain wo';t have any effect.

If i have a tough one I always anchor the housing to my full size truck.

Finally got it, took alot of whacking and heating.
Bearing was rusted in.
