Post subject:  trial jimny gears

Hi, would anyone know how hard it would be / or cost to put in trial jimny 24% reduction gears in my 2004 jimny?

Ease as mate once you get the front input and rear out put flange's off. You will won't to be running at least 31's with those gears tho :wink:

thanks mate, would u recommend them with 235/75r15 tyres?
i will have to get a mechanic to put them in (hope wont cost much)

NO!!!

Zukenutter had the TJ gears in his black jimny with 235's and it reved at something like 4900RPM@100KPH (from memory), 8O , these are better suited to 31's or bigger. You would be better of doing a sierra transfer case swap.....

My Sierra gears were too low for road use, but I liked it that way, never ever got a speeding ticket, and was perfect when heavily loaded.
