hi guys just got the sierra running again. but have a problem

when i filled up the oil before i got it running i noticed oil leaking onto the ground, it was the new stuff i put in. then it stopped.

now ive got the motor running its coming out somewhere again

its a 1.6 sohc head on 1.3 bottomend in sierra. juse put the head back onto motor after rebuilding the head. dunno where the oil is coming out of. pretty sure i tightened the rocker cover back on. will check now. any other ideas but?

Dissy housing where it mates to head is common leak spot so is the O ring on the dissy body where it goes into the angle housing.

i had the same thing and was stressing about head gaskits and all sorts of wild ideas but was just the dizzy housing i was to tight to buy a new o ring so i just pulled it off and used some gaskit goo all good now.

turns out its coming from the fuel pump mounting spot on the head.

ive now found out why i broke 1 fuel pump and 1 plastic spacer bit between fuel pump and head.

looks like you gotta grind abit off the intake manifold to allow the fuel pump and gaskets and plastic bit to allow it to sit flat on the mounting surface. just saw it then. then checked on the manifold i pulled off and yep its grinded. i just put a new carby and manifold on as 1 piece and didnt realise it needed some clearanceing. oh well more work then itl be going
