Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me does a standard exhaust on an 88.5 sierra with a G13A motor have a catalytic converter?

If yes or no where did you get this info from?

Yeh mate should have one ..

They became mandatory in australia in 1975, I think that was the year or around that year..

Just googled it.. Was 86.. We were both wrong..

bwahahaha we didnt have any emission ADR's till July 1976 :)

1986 for passenger cars they were made mandatory, there were some classes of light commercial vehicle were exempt till 1991 I think it was but Sierras arent in that class

my 88.5 wt lwb did have a standard cat.
