Hi all, got a bit of a problem, was wiring up spotties today and noticed buzzing bubling noise coming from the distibutor and the black barrel thing near passenger side corner... I hadn't even wired the stuff in.. just all in place and about to start getting down to business. This was with engine off and harness untouched. So I freaked out and pulled all the spot wiring out and it's still buzzing. Took it for a short drive all lights working ignition etc and it didn't catch fire. Buzzing still there. Disconnected battery.. buzzing still there.. Any ideas? Paranoid the thing is going to short out and melt down! Cheers... Rob

I'm pretty certain the distributor is not making any noises with the battery disconnected - but the black barrel thing near the passenger side corner is a different matter - I suspect that may be the EVAP system charcoal canister - remove the fuel filler and see if the buzzing stops.
