ok so i got sick of tightening up my alt belt over the last few months.. and the last time i did it i noticed the alt was on a bit of a angle.

so i decided to pull it out today for a look...

the issue is, the stock alt takes 2 bolts one from either side..
the falcon alt is done with just one..
the bottom bolt was about as tight as you would want it, given that its in a big ally housing, i didn't have to lever on it but some force was defently required.

i have orded a new mount (thanks jas) and will put a crush tube in it to stop the issue in the future..

i will add, i only put this alt in a few months ago! as my old one died from over tightening the bottom bolt  ironic.

It's not that bad..

Use a high tensile bolt, that should help too.

Was the bolt a tight fit in the hole at the beginning?

When I put the 110 alternator in my Sierra,
I never had to touch it again,
no adjustin was ever needed,
I used a Barina water pump, so kept the multi rib belt.

yeah the mount was drilled out.. to 10mm so the fit was near perfect.

coilers run multi rib from factory ;)

 I'm still learning all this modern stuff
The vit may get a 110 when this one croaks.
Not a lot of room in there tho.

i use 2 bolts on the bottom with my falcon alt setup, neva had an issue.
but yes running with one bolt will require a crush tube
