Hey fellas, I have a 95 LWB Vitara with the 3" Calmini kit fitted. I had some issues with camber/toe issues with the IFS, and I fitted camber pins etc to resolve the issue, and worked to a certain extent. The camber is maxed out and still, the the front tyres camber in with only 215/75r15s fitted. I didn't fit the Calmini kit, the bloke I bought it off did. Is it possible that there is something he was supposed to do when installing the kit that he missed, or whatever? like redrilling the lower A-arm mounts? Any help would be appreciated as i'm looking at fitting 235/75r15 muddies and may come up as a future problem. Cheers, Ryan |

by camber in do you mean positive or negative camber?

It's common. Narrow rims with limited offset will make the problem worse because calmini designed the system to work with the leverage of a wide, offset rim which will improve things. Steve |

So there is supposed to be slight negative camber? I'll take a pic of the front of the car tomorrow to show you, to see if it's too much negative. Thanks again. |

Cheers stocker. Should be getting some GT radial Adventuro M/Ts in 235/75r15s very soon. Hopefully that'll be enough to sort it out. Cheers. |

if you have too much negative (tops of tyres leaning in towards the engine) turn the little tabs on the camber pins around, AKA read the instructions |

Cheers. Hi mate, don't know anything about neg camber, but I have a set of GT Radials but in the Severo pattern (same size you're thinking) and I have to say they're a great tyre on and off road. Mine make no noise on tar, and I only know I running mud tyres when I drove super slow on bitumen as you can feel each knob tapping the road. Offroad they're great fun, plough the turf and slop like a tractor...... PS- They're on a lwb vitara with 50 mm spring lift, only scrub on the rears when going too hard. Anyway, you should like the tyres and I hope they sort out the camber issues for ya. Cheers, Phil |
